With only seven months left on the 22-year-old’s current contract, the club faces a critical decision. Signed from Atalanta in 2021, Diallo’s deal includes an option to extend for an additional year, but this must be decided before January. Without an extension, Diallo would be free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with other clubs for the 2025-26 season.

According to Amad's future is a top priority for the club, with talks expected to take place in the coming weeks. The young winger has started both of Amorim’s Premier League games, delivering performances that have drawn praise from his manager.
"He is really big in talent, but small in size. He did a great job but he also has to improve. He was really good again," Amorim told reporters after the Everton win. "Ruud van Nistelrooy helped him a lot in his games in charge and now he’s helping me. He’s in a great moment, but that moment started with Ruud. So I just take advantage of Ruud’s work with Amad! He was really good defending and really good attacking so he has to continue to play like that."

Former manager Erik ten Hag could hardly make the most of Amad's talent as he showed little trust in the winger before getting sacked in October. However, Amorim's appointment has helped him rediscover his touch and his two assists against the Toffees are another indication of his surge in form.
